Tift County Forestry Pageant
is Seeking Contestants who Enjoy Communicating and Promoting Georgia's
Top Commodity-TREES-(NO PAGEANT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED)
This competition is not just
some beauty pageant-it offers educational opportunities for young women
from ages 3-23. The Miss Tift County Forestry is open to contestants ages
17-23. Each applicant must live, work, or attend school in Tift County.
50 of scoring is based upon an interview with a qualified panel of judges.
An additional 25 of the scoring is based upon a speech on a platform of
the contestants choice, and the remaining 25 is judged on stage presence
via evening gown competition. The winner receives a cash scholarship and
all expenses paid to represent Tift County at the State Forestry Pageant.
The Miss Georgia Forestry Pageant offers over $60,000 in scholarship money.
There are five age divisions in the Miss Pine Seedling portion of the contest.
The Tiny Miss for ages 3-6, Junior Miss for ages 7-12, and Teen Miss
for ages 13-16. Winners receive cash prizes as well as their entry fee
paid to represent Tift County at the state level where more cash prizes
are awarded. The Miss Pine Seedling Pageant is opened to residents of any
Georgia county. All queens receive an official Miss Forestry round crown,
satin banner, silver engraved tray, crowning pin, rhinestone scepter, and
gifts from local merchants. The Miss Forestry and Pine Seedling Queens
serve as representatives for the Tift County Forestry Unit. Reigning queens
are as follows: Hope Goodman, Tiny Miss; Katy Faircloth, Junior Miss;
Laura Middleton, Teen Miss; and Crystal Hunter, Miss Tift County Forestry.
The pageant is held annually the
third weekend in February. Contestants need to enter early because there
is a limited number of spaces allowed in each age group. If you want more

Pageant to be held in Tifton in June. All Queens receive their entry
fees paid to represent Tift County at the State Pageant.
